My first experience with a Japanese barbecue was a good one. Mark and Kira picked a great place to help with my experience,
Yakiniku Ju Ju (28th btwn Lexington & 3rd Ave), and a big thanks to them for picking up the check as well. For those of you that haven't had the experience, You order your various meats and they bring them to your table raw. There is a gas grill pit in the middle of your table that you use to cook the meat selection to your perfection. Personally I think that the restaurant is getting over pretty well because they don't have to encur the labor or hassle of doing the cooking for you. You can't blame them for under cooking or burning your meat either.

In Japan this kind of meal is actually called Korean bbq. Very tasty. If you like this kind of meal you should try shabu-shabu. Pretty much the same thing except you get boiling water at your table instead of hot coals. For good shabu-shabu go to Lan on 3rd Ave near St Marks (http://newyork.citysearch.com/profile/7087334/new_york_ny/lan.html)
, you wont be dissapointed!!
